Hi,

Does it shift normally with the engine off? If so and the pedal goes to the floor now, either we have a faulty clutch master cylinder, or the slave cylinder has failed.

Do me a favor. First, make sure the brake fluid is full. The brake master cylinder functions as the fluid reservoir for the clutch master cylinder (CMC). See pic below

Next, check around the CMC to see if there is any evidence of a leak. If you follow the supply tube to the transmission, it will lead to the slave (which I believe is internal on this vehicle). Check to see if there is evidence of fluid leaking in that area.

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe

See pic below. Note: I have the arrow pointing toward the brake MC. The circled item is the clutch MC.

Hi,

No problem whatsoever. If it shifts normally with the engine off, then the transmission or shift linkage isn't an issue.

That leaves the clutch hydraulics. Were you able to check the things I mentioned?

Yes, I did do some checking around those areas and from what I gathered and seeing I see no leakage anywhere.

If that is the case, I suspect the clutch master cylinder is what failed. Not always, but often when the slave fails, they leak. Make sure the brake master cylinder is full.

As far as replacing the part, I attached the directions specific to this vehicle. Take a look through the directions and let me know if you have questions.

Take care and let me know what I can do to help.
