What happens when you get it into gear? Are you able to drive the vehicle or does it stall?

If nothing happens and the vehicle does not move forward then yes, the clutch and more specifically the hydraulic system/slave cylinder that applies the clutch to the flywheel is not operating.

However, let's clarify what happens when you do this and that will better determine what the possible issue is.

Also before it went out at times I could even get it in to gear while my clutch pedal was pushed in. Or when I did push the clutch in it was real hard to push in like it was in a bind.

Okay. With that info, it is pretty clear that the clutch is in need of replacement. Specifically the slave cylinder and hydraulic system is causing this but while you are there you want to put a new friction disc and at least resurface the flywheel is not replace it as well. If it has hot spots (blue spots) then you want to replace it.
