hi, I replies to my clutch on my vehicle listed above mk3 1.3 cdti. When I bleed the slave cylinder every time the cylinder starts leaking i tried three cylinders and every time the same thing. i put the old clutch back in and put a new bearing and it leaked again. where could the fault be?

That a good one, are they high quality parts like OEM? It could be the clutch assembly is having an issue and allowing the secondary cylinder to overextend. Did you notice anything strange also is this secondary cylinder external to the transmission?

hi thanks for responding. yes, all parts are OM identical to the original I just take down pedal cylinder or replace it because I think it's not released a pressure from the bearing when I press the pedal down and that build a double pressure and that's why the bearing come too far. And like I said, I put the old flywheel with the old clutch and happen exactly the same, and the difference between the old clutch and the new clutch is not a big difference. It's like a one meal. That's why I think the car was on a semi-clutch, and that's why the bearing didn't return all the way because of this pump.

Yep, if the cylinder overextends it will leak. Did the clutch ever work since you had the car?

If the clutch disc is falling apart, it will cause the pressure plate fingers to be inset which can cause the extended travel.

It was not released the pressure all the way back to the tank and that's why I was building a double pressure since I put the new one straight away go on and it's fine.

Good job, can I ask if the clutch stayed disengaged while this was happening?

Yes, but if the clutch was "over pressured" it would be disengaged the entire time?
