i was able to isolate the clunking noise to a broken flange on a support bushing area, see ppt file attached. It seems like the broken part is actually a portion of the main frame/structure. I am wondering if you think that someone could weld the flange back on and if so what sort of welding would be best for this sort of item? I am afraid that a normal repair shop will want to replace the entire structural thing which will cost a boat load of cash. Do you think that maybe an alignment shop would deal with this sort of thing?
