Hello, my climate control lights are out and i cannot find any information if this could be a fuse or just the bulbs. I also read somewhere that i might have to replace the whole climate control component. Can you help?

That most likely uses an LCD display that no longer works. That would mean replacing the whole control head.

You asked for the diagram for the dash light circuit. What you really needed was the diagram for that particular fuse.

That feed goes directly to the BCM and it takes it from there. Going to be hard to track. https://www.2carpros.com/images/external/216861006.gif

So basically I'll have to manually track the short down? Do you know a rough estimate to get a mechanic to do this? I dont have the patience for all that.

They would work by the hour, usually at about $120 per hour around here. Make sure he's an electrical specialist though. Most general techs would struggle with this. They have no path to follow.

any chance you have the wiring diagram for the trunk light? Its grounded after the climate control lights and before the trunk light. I appreciate all your help btw.

There is no before and after. They are wired in parallel. the short could be from anything the BCM operates. If you suspect something, just unplug it and see if the fuse blows.

i got an ect2000 to track down the short and discovered it is on the orange wire of my dome light. I have some diagrams of the interior lights but I'm having a hard time reading them and i dont know which plug in the bcm they are connected to. All it says is X2/1 i get that that is connection 2 pin 1 but which is connection 2? can you help me with this?

Thank you for that. The wire I'm trying to trace is orange. I dont see an orange on there. Is there a splice somewhere that changes the wire color?

that's the diagram i have. Do the connections go in order on bcm? like you showed me x1 and it is lt gn so x2 would be the next one upso it would be a white connection? I need to isolate the circuit from the bcm and run further diagnostics to find the short to ground.

So it's the pink connector? Is that right? My pink connector has quite a few more wires in it. Like a black and gray for constant power to the dome light? is this just the specific wires of what I asked for? Thank you for all your help.

It does not show the connector color, you we need to follow the color wire. Nice work Wrenchtech!
