Clicking noise when put in gear

Can you upload a video of the noise when you put it into gear so I can hear what you hear?

Sure, I will. My sister drove it to work. I got it started this morning (it was a discharged battery-replaced it with 700 CCA new battery). I will evaluate the clicking noise this evening and upload it for you. I remember it being similar to a key locking and unlocking doors (almost identical to the sound of built-in Automatic Power locking or unlocking mechanism- only more of a metallic ping than a muffled sound of the plastic door knobe locking and unlocking).

Sorry, it took me a while to upload this sound clip. It has been raining non-stop and couldn't get the chance to document the clicking noise until this morning. I am not sure I would have noticed this sound if my sister had not said something. I think I am sensitized to it. The clicking (now, unfortunately, fainted since they were replayed several times on a sound recorder) represent shifts between parking and drive . (I didn't use the OD). It was obvious to me that the clicking noise occurs only when the gear shifts directly from P to D and back. What's your opinion?

The video is not of the car. It is something inside of a home.

Roy, I simply recorded the video off of the sound recorder that I originally placed under the car in my driveway this morning. It is replicated in the form of a video for your site to allow it to upload. I tried to upload the sound clip (mp3, wav, qcp and wmp) but your site did not allow it. I listened to the video clip and although the sound clip is fainted, the noise is identical. I can send the original sound clip via email if you have a way to receive it, but I assure you it is identical and more concise and repeated several times. The original included various shifts between the P R N and D. I can also re-record the sound in the form of a video clip when she comes home from work. Let me know.

Right Roy, I just saw your message and here is the video clip just recorded few minutes ago. Honestly, I am totally sensitized to any abnormal noise, but certainly I can hear a "tick" at the end of a shift. When I shifted between N and D, I didn't hear the "tick" at the end. But a shift between P and D produced a distinctive "ticking" noise. If no one said anything, I would not have noticed it at all. Should it be a concern?

This sounds like the engine and transmission are moving. It sounds like a worn-out mount whether it is an engine or transmission mount. Look at the mounts and see if any have a lot of play. Open the hood and have someone put in gear several times and see if you see the engine move a lot.
