I recently purchased this car. I replaced the damaged side mirror, when I did I noticed a broken wire. The next day the check engine light came on. The code that popped up for it was p0660. I looked into it and it states that it can be an electrical issue. What should I do?

Hi DRZACA,

Here is the test that you need to run through in order to determine what the issue is. Do you know what wire was broken? IF we can relate it to this system then just fixing that may resolve the issue.

What color was it and where was it. Maybe a picture of the broken wire will help and if you can trace the wire one direction or the other and see what it goes to, then we can identify it pretty easily.

Let me know what you find and we can go from there. Thanks.

So I removed the passenger door panel again. I took a picture of the wiring that is right below the passenger side mirror. It has been clearly cut but not sure if this is the issue. Please let me know if you need further pictures.

Can you take the VIN and go to a dealer and ask them to run the options on it? This looks like it went to the mirror like you had power mirrors and someone got rid of them by just cutting the wires.

However, based on this I would not think this is related to your check engine light. That code was for the VICS solenoid. Basically, this route intake air through the intake to better manage fuel ratio.
