Chrysler keeps stalling

I hope you can help! Very low on money and don't want to be taken advantage of after dumping millions into this car already. I have a 1996 Chrysler t/c minivan, 6 cyl. It has 130,000. I was randomly stalling out (sounded like I was running out of gas) so I finally had them replace the fuel pump and filter. All was well except everytime I get in between a 1/4 and 1/2 tank of gas..it does the same thing it was doing! It will stall out while going 50 miles an hour. I can restart it several times and it will go but it spurts, spits and stalls. When I fill it with more gas it works flawlessly! I don't know what to do since I just changed the parts they said were making this a problem.

I had a car where the fuel pickup in the gas tank was at the back of the tank. Whenever it was below 1/4 tank and I had to stop, the gas "leaned" to the front of the tank, causing the pump to pump air and since it was injected instead of a carbeurator with bowl, it died when the injector ran dry.

If it never happens when the tank is kept 3/4 or more full of gas, you need to focus on the tank as the cause of the problem.

One other thing that springs to mind is vacuum. Next time it sputters and dies, immediately get out and open the gas cap (slowly). If it starts sucking air, then a vacuum is being created when the gas is pumped out, too much vacuum and the pump can't pump gas and the vehicle will die. Will need to get a mechanic to check out the lines to/from the tank to see which one is clogged and not allowing it to normalize pressure.
