Could be you need to check the Battery cables them selves, A dirty or corroded cable might start the car and not charge it, if you have a volt meter Chrysler has two tests to determine the cable condition, You must have a DVOM...I will email the test to you...

I am experiencing something similar - local parts place said my alternator was bad, so I replaced the alternator and battery at the same time. My wife said, right before it died on her initially that the console lights (A/C, Rear Defrost, Wiper, etc) started flashing. Now that I have replaced the alt and battery, those lights still flash for about 15 minutes and the battery light on the dash console comes on after a minute. The battery does not charge at all. I took it to a mechanic and he said he checked the ground connections and says it is most likely the voltage regulator in the computer. I should also mention that less than a month ago this vehicle was in at the Chrysler dealership for airbag spring (or something) and I suspect a pinched wire or something.
