Hello, Here is the engine firing order below The cylinders are numbered from the front of the engine to the rear. The front cylinder bank is numbered 2, 4, 6. The rear cylinder bank is numbered 1, 3, 5. Check out the diagram (below)

3.8L engines are good running motors. Plug wires and plugs can become an issue never clean a plug and reinstall with new ones. Don't replace wires with used wires sounds strange but people try to save money on parts only to spend more in the end.

Hi,

A cylinder misfire can be caused by a couple of things. How many miles are n the vehicle? Also, are there any noises from the engine? Are there any odd smells or smoke from the exhaust?

Let us know.

Hi,

If the misfire is still present at cylinder 3, switch the cylinder three coil pack with a different one on the engine. If the coil pack is bad, the misfire will move to a different cylinder.

For example, if you switch the coil packs on cylinders 3 and 4, if it is bad, you will get a P0304 and the P0303 will go away,

Let me know.
