I just bought it used. Drove it a 1000 miles and when I went to get an oil change, they said it had oil sprayed all over the place.
What is the cause and what is the solution?

And shouldn't the dealer have noticed that before he sold it?

Yes, the dealer should have noticed it. WHen you say oil was sprayed everywhere, was it the top of the engine or down low?
