Computer problem
2003 Chrysler Town and Country

Hello,

I have a 2003 Chrysler Town & Country. I recently took it to the shop to have a leaking radiator replaced. My check engine light was on (and had been for a while) due to what I had been told was an emissions issue.

When they returned the vehicle, they said the PCM was bad and there was no signal at all to the 4th injector driver. The van now shudders pretty badly upon exceleration and the check engine light blinks (I KNOW that's a big deal). They said replacing the radiator had nothing to do with the PCM and it wasn't their fault. They also said I needed to go to the dealer to get it fixed, as this issue was out of their area of expertise.

How much am I looking at for repairs? Is this shop being honest or did they break something in my van?

Thanks in advance,
~Ms. R

Hi MsChrystel, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation

It came in for a radiator repair and didn't had the problem of the injector driver circuit prior to the radiator-something stinks here-Go somewhere else and have the computer rescanned such as Autozone for free-

What's wrong with checking the driver circuit from the injector back to the computer seems to me you're dealing with parts changers not techs. For an estimate costs its hard to say it varies with location that's both parts and labor-
