The parking brake light is always on in the van. The brake itself is not engaged, so why is the light on? Any way to re-set it or turn it off and assure it works when the parking brake is actually engaged?

Check the fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir. Also pull the wheel off to check the thickness of the brake pads.
