Where is the blend door located?

Hi,

The blend air door actuator is on the left side of the HVAC unit under the dash. Once you remove it, you will be able to check if the blend door itself moves.

If you look below, I included the directions for the removal and replacement of the actuator. Take a look through them and let me know if you have questions and if it helps.

See pics below. Note: The last step indicates calibration procedures using a scan tool. Try the actuator first. If it works properly, this isn't needed. If it doesn't, this procedure will need to be done.

Okay, I am going to check into this today. I'll let you know how it turns out, I'm no mechanic by all means and actually I am a woman who's had to learn to do a lot of things myself for myself, usually I am able to be pretty successful if I have instructions and some guidance. This info really helps because my main issue was knowing where it was actually located behind the dash. Also info I forgot is that the previous owner recently had the actuator and mixer replaced but the temp of heat didn't change, he mentioned the blend door gets stuck not allowing correct mixture of air into cabin and believed it may need greased or reset, which as before I stated I did a simple reset by taking negative cable off battery because prior to that only defrost vents worked no other vents blew air.

Like you, I've had to learn a lot. The old saying, jack of all trades; Master of none. LOL When I say that I'm not referring to automotive. Things such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, masonry, and the list goes on and on. If I couldn't afford to pay someone, I had to learn it myself.
