Air Bag Light Stays on

2001 Chrysler Sebring Convertible (2.7L) auto trans- 55,000 miles. A few weeks ago the airbag light came on and stayed on permanently. 3 days ago the light went out...but it came back on within 2 hours. Now it is on permanently. What does the light signify, other than a problem in the air bag system??? Where is the connector under the dash so I can try to find any codes? Thanks

OBDII is the connector
u should use a scanner to pull codes
let us know
Common trouble area clock spring under driver air bag
Light on means
Air bag system will not work on case of an accident
