2004 Chrysler Sebring 100959 miles

I took my car to be repaired and was told that the following codes came up-PO700-(TSB-21-004-05) AND CODE PO562. What does this mean? Does the PO700 code automatically mean that I need a new transmission. I believe the second code is for a new battery. Is that correct?

Thanks

The PO700 basically is just an indicator that the tranny computer will need to be scanned for the correct codes. The TSB indicates there is a update for the trans module.

The PO562 System Voltage Low. This could be a problem with the alternator. Have it checked as well as the battery. If you have a battery charger, fully charge the battery, drive to a parts store, and have them both load test the battery and check the alt output. Keep in mind, if the battery will turn the engine over, the alt should keep things going. The battery is my second guess unless you know of a problem with it.

Let me know what you find.
