my Sebring overheated two times in last two days and only required about one gallon of water. The first time a man told me that car needed a new radiator cap, because the black rubber had disintegrated under the rim. Should I buy a cap and and see if this helps, or go straight to the shop?

The next time it overheats, park the car with the engine running. Open the hood and check the coolant reservoir bottle. If that bottle is boiling, replace your radiator cap.

NOTE: Do not remove the cap while the engine is hot.
