2002 Chrysler Sebring air bag dash light

the air bag computer is sensing a malfunction in the system somewhere.

You are going to need a scan tool, or computer that is capable of communicating with the air bag computer for the fault.

I have an 2005 and it was doing the same thing. Under the passenger seat is a conector for the air bag. I found that it had a wire polled out of it from something going under the seat and moving it all the time for the back seat. The light went out when i put the two wires back together. This is for the pasenger airbag. It turns on and off if someone is in that seat. IF diconected it is in open loop and cant read that so the light comes on. The dealer said nothing was wrong.
