alarm system will not disarm

Why is the alarm arming itself, even though i did not lock the doors. how do i disarm it. it wont let me start the car. Even when i use the key to unlock it?

Hello,

It sounds like you have a drivers door latch that is no good which will cause the alarm to arm itself and then get locked up. There is a micro switch inside the latch that goes bad.

Here is a diagram to show you what you are in for when fixing the problem.

Check out the diagrams (Below)

You nailed it me friend I got the part for $58.00 and installed it now the car works great!.. I love this site and for free, how refreshing.
