My sebring has a 2.5 engine. Two years ago I replaced the vapor canister, valve vent and crank position sensor. nine months ago I replaced the battery, altenator, and starter motor, six months ago it was the wires, distributor and (actually I forget) also repaired transmission leak This morning while driving the highway, it started to lurch, the RPM's arc and drop, then the engine light came on and shortly thereafter the battery light. I was able to hobble it to work but not sure it will make the 40 miles back. What could it be. Checked oil and anifreeze. Is it a simple fix or have I tortured the car to death with high milage? At some point I know I have to let go but with kids in college...I was hoping that wouldn't be now. Any suggestions?
