Is it ok to replace the amp in the car with a sanyo amp? My amp was ruined because of all the rain, the drains on the bottom of the car were clogged and the floorboard flooded. I wish I would have known about the drains before this happened. :(

Find an original amp in the salvage yard. They have a very low failure rate so you will have no trouble finding a good one. Chrysler amps do not change volume or power like aftermarket noise blasters do. They are strictly for tone conditioning for the shape of the vehicle. Adding an aftermarket amp will sound terrible because the main amp is in the radio, so in effect, you will have two amps in the car.
