2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser removing battery from auto

What's the trick!!. How in the heck , do you get the battery out of the car.I've removed the air filter box but can't figure out how to loosen the holddown to release the battery. My battery died ( it's the original) and I'd like to replace it myself. Thanks for the help.( before I get it.)

Your bat sits inside of a square retainer. The bat is held down with a single bolt screwed into this retainer.

Remove the bat cables then the bolt and the rectangular bracket (On the side of the bat that faces the passenge compartment).

Then lift the squar retainer up and you'll have access to your bat.
