2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser Warning Signs

For the last 10 days, when I am making a turn (no, not going 60mph) my doors unlock, the dome light comes on and there is a chime like a door is open. Just once and it goes away.
What is causing this?

Hello –

To better assist you is your model just a PT Cruiser or a Dream Cruiser, GT, Limited or Touring? Also, what is the size of your engine in liter?

Does this only happen when you use your turn signal?

Does it happen only turning one direction or both?

In response to your questions:
The engine is the statndard 2.4L Non-turbo charged.
It is the standard version, nothing fancy.
When this happens, I do not have my turn signal on. The first time was on a freeway ramp and now it is happening when I turn corners. I have not noticed if it is one way or another.It seems to me something like it is a balance thing maybe the car is tilting when I go around corners. Maybe shocks or something. Sorry, I am a 50 year old female, don't know that much about cars.

Thanks for the update……..please drive a couple more days and keep track. Make numerous turns without using the turn signal and numerous turns using it.

It looks like according to the wiring diagrams that all of these things go through the turn signal switch……so let me know what you find out.
