My Timing Chain Broke while Driving, I had previously been suggested to service transmission and battery, then was told egr valve and then it died. After reading a little bit online I'm no worried that it could have bent my valves? Would and OBDII reader throw up a code for this to help me save $ on diagnostic at shop. The engine has no space on it so most likely will not be able to work on myself, correct..

If timing belt broke its very likely that the valves is bent and head need to be removed
and OBDII reader can not tell if belt broke or valve bent
Ive seen it where timing belt broke and valve where OK
have to but on the belt and check would be the easiest way
