The scanner showed that I have a problem with the "Cam/crank Postion Correlation Sensor A bank 1"

Could you tell me what this is and where it is located at. Some one told me it could be the "Flex Plate" inside the transmission. Would this be correct or is it something else. Also how hard is it to replace?

When ever I am driving and want to pass someone, the engine couchs and will not pick up speed.

The sensor is on the bell housing (driver's side). The purpose the crank and cam sensors send signals to the computer and tell it when to send spark to the cylenders. As far as "Bank #1, that is usually a reference to a bad O2 sensor.
