2005 Chrysler Pacifica EGR valve

Hi
I'm having a problem with my Pacifica, engine lite came on and displays code P0406 and P0452.
I cleared the coded but they keep coming back.
I'm assuming the EGR valve needs to be replace but with that second code present, I'm wondering if it can be something else. I have been using high quality gas and ensured the gas cap is tight.
How do I replace the EGR valve.

I have a 3.8 and I just replaced this part. Its not exactly the easiest repair so if you found a price for under $150 I would get it done professionally if your a novice. I'm a novice and I was quoted $240 so I decided to try it myself. The EGR valve on the 3.8L is towards the right rear of the engine right behind the 1,3,5 spark plugs. The hard part is getting the screws off other than that it seemed pretty easy. I used a ratchet set with extensions and a stubby wrench set to complete the job. The part also gives intsructions on disconnecting the negative battery terminal to reset the codes. Here's a breakdown of what I did:


1. Locate part, removed the 1,3,5 spark plugs by pulling them out (just to give me more room)

2. Used the ratchet with 6"extension to remove top two screws from old egr.

3. Used the rathcet with 3" extension to remove two bolts attached to engine. These were the hard ones and it took several tries but it eventually came off once I used the proper leverage.

4. Remove old egr.

5. Oiled nuts and placed new egr valve in and attached 4 screws.

6. Attached spark plugs

7. Disconnected negative battery for at least two minutes.

Engine light has gone off but I only had error code P0406. Good luck if you try this, I can't believe I was quoted $240 for a repair and the piece was only $80. The replacement wasn't worth $160 labor.
