Hello,
I have a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica it started making a noise coming from the backside of the engine near the firewall (or there abouts). The noise sounds as if it is a exhauhast leak or louder more profoun as if it was a lawn mower when at a idle. When in park and depress acclereator @ 3500 rpm it starts to bog and almost bounce between 3000 & 3500 rpm never allowing to redline. My Question is Does this sound like a Catalytic converter issue???

[quote:8551d650b6="chefbigdoug"]No nothing recent the regular oil change but the last service was on the brakes about 6 months ago... although we did have the oil changed yesterday and asked the tech to look he said there are 2 holes near the muffler in the exhaust and he thought that was the issue. The big picture here is that if it is the CAT it is covered under warranty!!![/quote:8551d650b6]

Fed law says manufactures warranty emission control system for 10 yrs or 100K so yes your covered. Unless some malfunction caused cat failure.
