2000 Other Chrysler Models Oil Pan

My drain plug on the oil pan has stripped.
I just went to the junk yard for a replacement and I am wondeing if I can reuse the gasket if I buy some silicone sealant.
Is this possible or should I buy new?
It is a 2000 Chrysler Neon.

Hi:

If you mean the oil pan gasket, replace it. Make sure both the engine block and oil pan are clean and dry before replacing them. If you get a quality gasket, you will not need sealant.

If you question refers to the drain plug gasket, it can be reused if it hasn't been damaged. (For the price, I would replace it too.)
