What happens with the low beams?

the low beams still i guess work, but very dim. high beams work fine, just the regular headlights dont work. wut do you think is the problem?

Hi:
It sounds like there is a problem with the ground. If the lights work dimmly, they are getting power. You could pull the plug on the back of the head light and check the plug to see if there is 12 volts there when the low beams are on. If there is less, then I would move to the switch itself.

What I mean is if the power supply to the light is below 12 volts, the head light switch itself may be bad.

so if it is the witch, how would i change it to get the volts up to 12v?

The front cover on the dash is removeable. You would gain access through there. Before purchasing a new one, however, have your old switch checked to make sure there is too much resistance in it. That way, we can eliminate the high beam switch too.
