Engine Cooling problem
1996 Other Chrysler Models 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 398,00 CLICKS.

I still see the SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT. I added coolant,after i checked how much i have left.after 5 blocks i notice that a smoke is coming out from the engine compartment.i also notice that there is a little bit of coolant spill on the ground.i AM VERY SCARED TO DRIVE IT HOME,FROM THE LYNWOOD AREA IN THE SE TO RUNDLE AREA IN THE NE especially that i have a 4 mos old Baby.what is your diagnosis on this.

Your check engine light can come on for several reasons. Check all of the fluid levels, not just coolant. The coolant on the ground makes me think that you are over filling the coolant recovery tank. When the engine is cold, open the radiator cap, and fill it with coolant if it is low. The smoke from under the hood could indicate a coolant leak spraying onto the exhaust manifold, or the engine cooling fan is not coming on and the engine is getting hot.
