I have a 1989 chrysler new yorker landau it has a 3.0 liter engine with 127,000 miles on it. I was told the power steering pump was out so i replaced it myself. i took the car for a little trip and i lost the power steering. Come to find out the rack & pinion was leaking and it burnt the new pump out. I have priced the rack&pinion and i dont want to put alot of money in this car. I have removed the rack&pinion and would like to know how to rebuild the rack&pinion.I can get the remanufactured rack&pinion for $70.00 and the rebuild kit is only $11.00. Do i have to have special tools? How do i rebuild this? Thank You for any info. Neal
