my car has 180,000 miles on it. A couple of weeks ago I replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter on it and then two days ago it started sputtering and died. It'll crank over and run for like a minute then stall out. I've replaced the plugs and wires and it still stalls out. What is causing this?

Check the ASD relay-auto shut down this one powers the coil and the fuel pump if it has one. It is similar to an inertia switch.

If you have a power distribution center under the hood, it should be in there. If there is no PDC, the relay should be close to the driver side strut tower.

You might try to check your trouble codes. Turn the key on till the dash lites come on, no crank. You cycle the key, on/off, on/off, on. The check engine lite should flash, you count the flashes to get the codes.

Double check the fuel pressure.. I did the pump in mine with an aftermarket and it wouldn't run right, put in a Mopar pump and no problems

Get an oem pump and replace the filter. While the tank is down inspect for any contamination that may require flushing it out with some fresh fuel.

Many after market pumps are poor quality. Delphi brand would be the exception for me.

I just replaced the fuel pump in my car a week ago and it ran fine for about five days and then stopped and it seems like the fuel pump is out again.

check all fuses as this may be a security issue. then try locking drivers door with key then unlock and see if car will start. I think this is how you do a reset on these older cars. if not have it scanned for codes by a mechanic as it may be a security system issue.
