Engine Runs Hot?

Hi!
past weekend i note that my 1999 lhs run in half of the temperature gauge on road at 70 mph,for 2 hours the outside temp was 37`f and the radiator fans are running in high speed, but the temperature dont drop, always are in the half of the gauge and the fans running.
i change the termostat,install a new waterpump, new pressure cap, cleaned the radiator and bleed the sistem, refill with prestone 50%. is not overheating, but i dont like this because the fans are always running and the temperature dont drop from the half.


the fans start running at 220 F and still running we see this on a obdii reader, but the temperature dont drop... I'm in Mexico and dont speak english please sorry for the spelling and gramatical errors!

Regardless, the fans feed from the temp sending unit. When it reaches a specific temp, it sends a signal to the fan relay turning the fans on. Have you checked the relay or the sending unit? If not, that would be where I would start. I believe the relay is in the power distribution box under the hood. If you can find another relay in the box that is the same, switch it and see if that does the trick. If not, I would either look for shorts in the wiring or try a sending unit.

Hey i trun my AC on yesterday and was sittin for a min then my car just started running hot i put some coolin in it wen the car cool down the this morning i wen to class my car still running hot and i dont know what wrung with it.

Make sure there are no leaks. Check the waterpump, radiator... for evidence of a leak. If there is no leak, I would start by replacing the thermostat and having the cooling system flushed. Also, make sure the cooling fans are working.

my car ran hot and i havent driven it again i had it towed home and when the tow truck unloaded it there was oil on the tow truck

check coolent level and check the cap on the filler tank it is the same as a radiator cap if your radiator doesn't have a cap on it mine doesn't and its a 97 lhs. If the caps' seal is worn or torn it will make your car run hot mine was bad and it ran hot chnged the cap and problem solved
