Heater problem
1996 Chrysler LHS

Have a 1996 LHS, checked the thermostat,. both hoses that goes into the heater core are hot, but no heat. What can be the problem?

Yes, maybe the temp. blend door is not moving to the correct position in thr heater/ac unit. It may be electric or vacuum operated, sometimes a cable also.
It is inside behind your inst. panel.Joe

behind instrument panel, where the control of heat/ac is? how can I get to that door? .. any idea if this door is controled by some fuse/relay which can be located in the fuse panel?!?

If you check there may be a fuse out. But I think there is two types. ! has a small motor to move the blend door from hot to cold. 2. Has a cable right behind the climate control panel. The cable goes to the top of the door, either one is on the top of the heater a/c unit. A black box that holds all the doors, evaporator and heater core. The heat blows out of it on its bottom. It is quite a bit of disassembly to remove. If you take the control panel out, you may see something through that area and if it has a cable you will see that also. If you have an electronic you just set the temperature in degrees, if cable there is a slide attached to it. ok Joe The door is in the unit and is serviced with the unit out and apart. about a 6 hour job.
