I have 3 codes, P0172, P0175 and P0432. Car stalls when driving or sometimes won,t start after just sitting. After it sits for 10 minutes it will start again sometimes. Other times it starts right up. Would the cat cause this problem like the code says or could it be a fuel pump?

Either the cat or the fuel pressure can cause this. Try this, drive the vehicle at night. Many times the cat converter will glow red hot if it is plugged. As far as fuel pressure, here is a how to for checking it:

Let me know if this helps.

After 30 minutes the car stalled at idle and code P0172 was up. It started right back up. Also the car runs and idles great. This mean anything to you?

If the cat wasn't glowing red, chances are it is fine. I looked up PO172. It says the oxygen sensor is saying that the system air/fuel mix is far too rich (too much air is being added as a correction). That can shut the engine down. Something tells me there is either a problem with the temp sensor or the O2 sensor.

Changed the cam sensor. Still coming up with code P0172 but at least it fixed the stalling problem. I have a parts car so will start to change parts.[quote:5db4e243e8="Doug 999"][quote:5db4e243e8="Doug 999"]Engine Performance problem

Just for the heck of it, try the temp sensor.

No go on temp sensor, replaced it. Starting to stall again. Could it be the auto shut down relay?

I had the same problem with my 1999 Chrysler Intrepid last winter and replacing the fuel pump didn't do the trick. It turned out to be the cam and crank sensors. Haven't had the stalls since.
