The brakes have failed and at the same time something is draining the battery. Could this possilbly be a related problem? I realize you problably need more info but mainly hoping this problem has occured to someone else.

Lets get the alternator and battery load tested-alternator might not be putting out or the battery is not taking the charge.

Battery drain-hook up an ammeter anything over.035 milliamps you mostly likely have a short circuit within the electrical system.

The brakes has nothing to do with the charging system-When you say the brake has failed-because the brake light came On or what?
