This is strange. Once I start the Grand Voyager and put it into Drive the gearshift indicator reads D. When I shift into 3 or L it also reads properly.
Now, if I shift into Neutral, it remains on D even though I'm clearly in Neutral. If I shift from Drive to Reverse it will indicate R properly. Shift into Park and it stays on D or R whichever was the last gear used.
One other thing...after shifting to Neutral or Park, the engine idles fine, but runs rough under throttle. In fact it sounds like it will die if I give it half throttle.
If I shut if off (using ignition switch/key) something resets and it's fine in P (or N if I restart in N).
Would love to know if this is something simple or complex. I feel unsafe in it now as I can't tell if I'm in Park by looking. I just have to feel it.
