Installing Oil Pressure Sending unit

Hi...I have a 2000 Chrysler Concorde 2.7l with 72k miles on it. I've recently been seeing my oil pressure light flickering on and off. I checked the oil level and everything was fine. Had the oil pump pressure tested and it checked out fine. I was later told by a friend of mine, who is a mechanic, that it most likely is "your oil pressure sending unit". Is there any way to check out if it is indeed faulty, and if so, how would I replace it myself.

Thanks very much

It's either the sender or the circuit...A special shapped socket is needed to install and remove them.
