98 chrysler concorde NO HEAT NO POWER BREAKS.

I have a 98 chrysler concorde and I have no heat. It smells like mildew when i turn it on. Also I think my power brakes have went out or are going out. When I step on the peddle it sounds as if air is releasing somewhere. I have to press the peddle all they way down to get my car to even stop. Do you know what's wrong with either of these. What should I look at first. Thank you!
