Buy a nice 6-12 volt test light and check both fuse boxes and relay box under the hood, if everything looks ok buy a scanner here. The scanner is great for every car made and you'll always have it. The scan you recieved was a emissions generic scan. A DRBIII can access the TCM to check specific TCM codes. The fluid should be checked also. They had many problems with the software.
