I recently purchased a 2004 Chrysler Concorde, upon filling the car gas tank at a local gas station with regular fuel grade gasoline i proceeded to drive the car home when the check engine light came on. I looked in the manual and it did say that if a low quality gasoline was used in the car that the check engine light could come on recognizing the poor quality gas, I was wondering if that was actually a probable cause or if it could be something else. The car runs fine no problems with acceleration there are no other issues with the car otherwise. I just figured this might be worth asking because when I test drove the car the light didn't come on but the car was low on gas at that point also. I just really want to know if this sounds plausible because I'm nervous to drive the vehicle around with the check engine light on although my old ford taurus' check engine light used to come on half way through long car trips for no reason at all.

mark is absolutely correct, you can get it scanned at autozone or your local parts place usually free to about five bucks. in the mean time, tighten your gas cap until you hear it click/ratchet sound several times.
