I am in process of changing the timing belt on an 2002 Concorde that i dont belive has been changed. Should i replace the water pump too? Also does the hydraulic timing belt typically go bad? it seems ok, it compresses and extends fine and with force. THanks,

Hello,

On vehicle that the water pump is run by the timing belt I won't change one without changing the other. So if your water pump is bad I highly recommend changing out all timing components also. And vise versa.
