2001 Chrysler Concorde thermostat housing

Clean gasket mating surfaces.
Install thermostat with the bleed valve located at the 12 o'clock position, between tabs on seal. If removed, install two studs.
Install thermostat, thermostat housing and O-ring and bolt. Tighten attaching bolts to 105 inch lbs.(12 Nm).
Lubricate new heater return tube O-ring with coolant.
Position heater return tube flange over two studs. Install nuts.
Tighten retaining nuts to 53 inch lbs.(6 Nm).
Tighten starter bolt to 40 ft. lbs. (54.3 Nm).

thank you, but it is only the cover that is off and we can't seem to seal it again...when we put a sealant/gasket material it doesn't harden enough...ie when we press the accelerator water still comes off and we can pull cover right off. what do you recommend to seal cover?

Sorry about that. Are you letting the sealant set as described on the instructions of the product? The sealant I use for thermostats is just little pack of sealant made specifically for water pumps and thermostats. Most part stores have it.. a pic. of it is below found on the AutoZone.com website.

Just follow the directions word for word and it works fine for me everytime I've used it.. Thanks for using 2CarPros.com!

thank you very much! will try that because it's only the cover that we can't seal...would have to drill to put bolts to hold cover down....you just saved us time and money!!!!
