Transmission problem
1999 Chrysler Concorde 6 cyl Automatic 140000 miles
about a couple of weeks ago my car would just turn off at stop signals or stop signs. A couple of days ago as I would come to a stop signal, right before I completely stoped I would feel a jerk. It did this periodically as I drove a few miles. Eventually during the same trip, I noticed the rpm's weren't where they usually are at the mph I was traveling. for example: I was going about 40-50 mph and rpm's were as high as 3 1/2 and I usueally see rpm's at around 3 when I'm traveling 80mph. It then felt like I was trying to go faster but the rpm's were going higher and It felt as if I were forcing the car to go, so I drove it home at about 25-30mph so that the rpm's wouldn't rise any higher, also the "check engine" light went on.
