I was driving my car the other day and everytime that I turned my lights on the radio and lights on the dash would dim. So, I turned my lights off. Then, as I approached a stop sign, I started putting my foot on the break at which point all the gauges jumped and the dash lights (parking break, park, reverse, drive, 1, 2, oil, every dash light) and the radio started flashing. When I got to the stop sign, my car died. We figured it may be the coil, so we replaced it. To no avail. When we started moving the fuses around (just jiggling them) I got in my car, turned the key, and it suddenly started. It drove home with no problem. I turned the car off, and then tried starting it again... and yet again same problem. The engine is turning over, it's just not starting. We also just replaced the starter. So it's not that either. We were wondering if it may be the computer or just faulty wiring.... if not... what is it?

If you can wiggle the wires and the problems go away, then it's a short or bad connection in the wires.

If your computer fails, then the problems won't go away.
