My car was fine. One day, when I went to start it, I heard a click. I turned it over and heard another click. After a few times, it turned over. This has been going on for a few months now. Now, it has taken more tries to get it to start (with all the clicking before). Last week, I tried to start it and there was no click (from inside the cab, but there was a click under the hood) and it did not start. I took out the starter and had it rebuilt. I put it back in and now and it is doing the same thing as if I didn’t get the starter rebuilt. Is there a certain way of reinstalling the starter that I'm missing? Please help.

if there is no click from the solenoid, check the starter relay
