when you first start it ir's a very faint knock but when you give it gas it gets louder...what all could it be?

Is it a heavy metalic knock, a ticking noise or a tinney rattle? Where does it most likley sound like where it's coming from? Engine? Under the drivers feet? where?

It's in the engine it's coming from the left side of the engine sorta like a ticking rattle knock
