alarm activated and wont shut off

:( ok i have a 1996 chrysler cirrus and the alarm is activated and wont shut off. I bought the car used and boy i am regretting it so far it wont start due to the alarm being armed i tried everything and had other people look at it and we cant find the alarm the light is behind the dash we can see but cant get to it....how can i disable my alarm so i can drive my car? oh how i would love some HELP!

Hello,

The problem with many alarm systems is when you try to disarm/disable them the alarm thinks you are trying to steal the vehicle.

You need to reset the system which you can do by just leaving the key on for 30 minutes or until the security light stops flashing. Also you can do a hard reboot by disconnecting the negative battery cable and holding it to the positive terminal for 2 minutes which discharges the capacitors and will initiate a new protocol for the alarm system.
