1997 Chrysler Cirrus 97 Cirrus Overheating

Are the cooling fan(s) working?

No & the mechanic is saying that it is from a relay switch but he can't find where it is on the vehicle. said he has looked online etc and now is talking about hot wiring it so the fan runs all the time.

i wanted to know if your temperature gage works? cuz are temperature gage doesnt and are fans dont turn on

The fans work from the ECT a high and low speed relays, and the PCM, the Power distribution center under the hood next to the air filter box contains the 2 relays, they are side by side on the left end. The ECT is on the thermostat housing.

just got it back out of the shop. They checked fans, relays, thermostat etc said they found shortage in fuse box--relay and fixed. Left shop car overheated. Radiator took 2 gals of water but over-fill tank was full. Any ideas

Any whit smoke from the exhaust? Is the oil OK?

No white smoke and the oil is fine. When the car overheats the temp. gauge does not show it as hot and the car just quits running. Took back to mechanic shop and they have no clue what is wrong with it. They said everything they checked that could be causing it to overheat is fine.

Go to a radiator shop and ask for a pressure test, any leaks will be spotted!
