The threading on the cast iron portion for front drivers side caliper mounting bolts has been stripped on my 1995 Chrysler Cirrus Lx and I'm am not sure what needs to be replaced...a friend said I'd need to find a used 'swing arm' however I haven't been able to locate anything by that name for my car...please help...

"Swing arm" = steering knuckle. No.. You don't need to remove the knuckle assembly. You will be wasting more time in doing so. Here is what you need to do. Bring one of the caliper mounting bolt to your favorite auto parts store and ask them for a "Heli Coil Thread Repair Kit" that will match the thread pitch and size for your bolt. That kit should come with a part that looks similar to a drill bit for you to repair the thread. Once the thread is repaired, you will insert the new threaded spring into the hole, and problem fixed. Here is an example of a Heli coil.
